You travel from Otavalo to Sacha Pampa, where you start a five hour hike through the Andean landscape. During the treks a mule will carry your baggage. You will pitch your tent near the Yanahurco Mountain and can – given it’s clear out – enjoy the sky full of stars.

Today’s hike is split into two parts: The first part before lunch takes approx. 4 hours, the second part takes approx. 2 hours. In the morning you hike to the village of Piñan, here you can visit traditional houses after lunch before hiking to the Piñan Lagoon. At the lagoon you pitch your tent and can relax during the rest of the evening.

The last day of your hike begins after breakfast and takes 2 to 3 hours. You walk through the cloud forest, which is extremely rich in animal species. Arriving at the community „El Rosario en Valle de Intag“ in Intag Valley, you are surrounded by lagoons, cultivating areas of coffee, and thermal baths. There, you can relax in the hot waters of the Nangulvi thermal baths before returning to Otavalo.
