Itinerary
Ushuaia | National Park Tierra del Fuego | Cerro Castor | Lakes Escondido & Fagnano
Already during the landing approach to Ushuaia you can enjoy great views of the snow-covered Andes. After landing you will be met at the airport and transferred to your accommodation. In the late afternoon you can already enjoy the snow to the fullest in various activities, such as dog sledding. In the darkness, the snow illuminates the surroundings and immerses everything in a mysterious atmosphere.
Today you experience a different day in the National Park Tierra del Fuego. In winter, the park radiates an even more mystical charm than in summer. During short hikes and a canoe trip on the Rio Lapataia you can enjoy the peace and the rugged landscapes to the fullest.
The ski center Castor a little outside of Ushuaia is without doubt a very special place to ski. Especially during the week, empty slopes can give you great descents with a fantastic view of the Fireland Andes. If you don’t want to ski, you can optionally take a snow hike in the surrounding area.
With the off-road vehicle you drive first through the valleys Carbajal and Tierra Mayor over the Andean pass Garibaldi to the lake Escondido. The journey continues on bumpy muddy roads through the snowy forest. At Lake Fagnano you can experience the special atmosphere during a short walk, before stopping in a small hut and enjoying a typical Argentinean asado in the middle of nature.
Today you leave the winterly Tierra del Fuego. Of course you can extend your stay according to your wishes if you want to spend more skiing days in Ushuaia. We will gladly advise you!
