Welcome to Salta. In the afternoon, you will meet your guide for a short tour of the historic center with the Plaza 9 de Julio, the Cathedral, the City Hall and the Basilica San Francisco. After the tour you will be introduced to the secrets of the typical stuffed dumplings of the region, which you will of course taste yourself afterwards with a delicious glass of wine.

Today you will be picked up at your accommodation and taken on a three-day tour to Jujuy. Green fields, forests and hills alternate until you reach the Quebrada del Toro and the road winds steadily uphill along the famous Tren a las Nubes train track to San Antonio de las Cobres. From here, it is not too far to the Salinas Grandes, which will soon open up in front of you in a brilliant white. Via the Cuesta de Lipan, you will then descend to Purmamarca, where you will stay overnight.

In the morning, you discover on foot and together with funny lamas the mountain of the seven colors around Purmamarca. Afterwards you will explore the Quebrada de Humahuaca, which stretches between Purmamarca and Humahuaca with its small mountain villages and fascinating rock formations. Before you drive back to Purmamarca, you can admire this impressive mountain range with its jagged color formations at the viewpoint of the Serrania de Hornocal.

Today you will drive to the east of Jujuy province, where mountain rainforests, the so-called Yungas, await you. Immerse yourself in the deep green mountain landscapes covered with clouds and let yourself be impressed by the breathtaking views of the National Park Calilegua and its diverse flora and fauna. Here it seems almost unimaginable to have been in dry canyon and colorful mountain landscapes the day before. After a day full of variety, you will be brought back to Salta.

Today you start a three-day trip to the Valles Calchaquíes, to Cafayate. On the way, you will pass an absolute scenic highlight, the Quebrada de las Conchas. The rock formations in different shades of red offer perfect photo stops. In Cafayate, you will visit a winery where you can taste the delicious wine of the region. Afterwards you will be taken to your host family where you will spend the next two nights.

Look forward to an interesting day together with your host family. The course of the day depends on the activities of the family. For example, you can learn more about the local wine production or explore the surroundings by hiking or horseback riding. In any case, you will experience the daily life of a local family in a special way and can look forward to an exciting exchange.

In the morning, you will be introduced to the art of a local craft. For example, you can make your own pottery, felt or weave. Afterwards you will drive back to Salta, where you can enjoy the evening on your own.

Today it is already time to say goodbye to the varied north of Argentina. In due course, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the airport.
