Welcome to Buenos Aires! You will be picked up at the airport and taken to your hotel. Afterwards you will get to know Buenos Aires on foot and by public transport during a city tour. Your local guide will also take you to some special places not found in any guidebook.

In Palermo’s nightlife district you get on your bike and start your urban bike tour through the north of the city. Among other things, you will visit the extensive Palermo Park and the impressive cemetery of Recoleta. In the evening you will get to know the cuisine of Argentina. In 8 courses you will taste different delicacies, which will be prepared right before your eyes.

Early in the morning you take the plane to Trelew, where the airport of the Valdes Peninsula is located. From here you go directly to the nature reserve Punta Tombo, where you can observe the largest colony of penguins outside of Antarctica. In the afternoon you will drive to Puerto Madryn, where you will stay overnight. This small coastal town is the starting point for numerous excursions to the Valdes Peninsula. Because of its important flora and fauna, the peninsula has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Today’s excursion takes you to the Valdés peninsula. On the way you will visit the bird island and the sea lion colony in Puerto Pirámides. Optionally you can take a boat trip for whale watching. In Punta Delgada you can watch sea elephants with a little luck. Afterwards you go to Caleta Valdés and Punta Cantor. Finally, you will visit the lighthouse Punta Norte and discover orca whales at the right time. Also, on the way back you will surely make some animal observations and with a little luck you will see guanacos, foxes, nandus and armadillos.

A transfer will take you to your flight to Ushuaia. Arriving in the southernmost city in the world, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your accommodation. Use the afternoon to explore Ushuaia on your own. Take a walk along the banks of the Beagle Channel and enjoy fantastic views of the mountains and the channel.

Today you will explore the national park Tierra del Fuego on foot and by canoe. At the beginning you will visit the most southern post office in the world before you start your hike along the coastal hiking trail past rugged cliffs and through varied vegetation. After lunch you will row in a rubber dinghy on the Rio Lapataia until you reach the bay Lapataia where the Panamericana ends.

Today’s excursion takes you to the famous Beagle Channel. From the boat you can observe the diverse fauna of the region and pass the lighthouse Les Eclaireurs, famous for postcards. At Bridges Island you can enjoy the views during a short walk ashore before navigating back to Ushuaia. In the afternoon you will fly from Ushuaia to El Calafate.

A highlight of Patagonia awaits you today: The Perito Moreno Glacier is one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world and has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Marvel at the gigantic ice surface from the footbridges on the other side of Lago Argentino. During a boat trip you can admire the glacier walls from close up.

Today you experience a classic day on a Patagonian farm. In addition to exploring the surroundings on short hikes, you can actively participate in the daily work on the estancia. At lunch you can taste the delicious Patagonian lamb while listening to entertaining anecdotes and stories about the life of the first settlers in this region.

Today you fly to Iguazu. In this rainforest surrounded area is found one of the most powerful natural spectacles of the world – the waterfalls of Iguazu. Use the rest of the day to relax and gather your strength for tomorrow’s excursion, which will take you to the spectacular waterfalls.

Look forward to an eventful day in the National Park Iguazú on the Argentinean side. The various trails and footbridges wind their way through the tropical forest and take you to the uppermost breaking edges of the waterfalls, from where you can enjoy unique panoramic views. Before you are brought back to your hotel in the late afternoon, we recommend that you take a boat trip to see the spectacle from a different perspective.

In the morning you can admire the waterfalls once again in all their splendor from the Brazilian side. Here it becomes clear why the Guarani have baptized them “Iguazú”, in their language this means “Big Water”. From the viewing platforms you will have great panoramic views of the water masses.

Today you fly from Iguazu to Salta. There you will explore the pretty colonial center of the city with its beautiful buildings. After the tour you will be introduced to the secrets of the typical stuffed dumplings of the region, which you will of course taste yourself afterwards with a delicious glass of wine.

Look forward to a variety of landscapes on the way to Purmamarca. Green fields, forests and hills alternate until you reach the Quebrada del Toro where the road winds steadily uphill along the famous Tren a las Nubes train track to San Antonio de las Cobres. From here it is not too far to the Salinas Grandes, which will soon open up in front of you in a brilliant white. Across the Cuesta de Lipan you will then descend to Purmamarca, where you will stay overnight.

Look forward to a varied day in the Quebrada de Humahuaca, which stretches with its small mountain villages and fascinating rock formations between Purmamarca and Humahuaca. First stop is the colorful mountain village Tilcara with the former fortress Pucará de Tilcara. Afterwards you will continue through the colorful Quebrada to Humahuaca, where you will visit the colonial center, before you make your way back to Salta.

Today’s drive from Salta to Cachi leads through very contrasting landscapes, from green mountain rainforests to the dry and almost vegetationless Puna. Passing the Cuesta del Obispo, the road winds through the Valles Calchaquíes, where you will make some photo stops. Afterwards you will enjoy the panorama of the National Park Los Cardones, a high plateau from which countless cacti stick out like a pin cushion.

On the way to Cafayate you will continue today through the Valles Calchaquíes. Along the way you will make a short stop in the sleepy village of Molinos. You will drive through the bizarre rock formations of the Quebrada de las Flechas and finally reach the mellow vineyards that extend around Cafayate.

You can spend the morning relaxing in Cafayate before you are picked up at your accommodation and head back to Salta. Today the route leads once again through an absolute scenic highlight, the Quebrada de las Conchas. Along the river of the same name, the rock formations in various shades of red are inviting you to make photo stops.

Today you leave the picturesque region of northern Argentina. You will be taken to the airport in Salta and fly back to Buenos Aires. Once there, the rest of the day is at your leisure.
